10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. – Col. 2:10 NLT

Accepting Jesus as our Savior is the first step in our journey to heaven. The next step is to allow Him to be Lord of our lives. This means being obedient to His teachings and following His example. If our roots are to grow down into Him and our foundation is to be built on Him, then we must spend time getting to know Him. As we study and meditate on His Word, our faith will grow stronger each day. This knowledge of the truth of Jesus should cause our hearts to overflow with joy and our lips to sing His praises. We must guard our hearts and our minds. The world is full of people spouting vain philosophies and nonsense. They are possessed, obsessed or influenced by evil spirits. They speak of religion and try to compare it with Christianity, which is a relationship with Jesus. Religions are based on man’s thinking and can change every time the wind blows. Our relationship with Christ is built on the Solid Rock and will withstand every storm and fiery dart that the enemy hurls at us. We are in Christ and He is in us, so we are complete with Christ as our ruler and authority.

John 15:1-5 KJV

Complete in Christ

God is waiting to show you the way.

God is waiting to show you the way.

6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. 8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. 9 For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.–Col. 2:6-10 (NLT)

We Possess Resurrection Power

God is waiting to show you the way.

God is waiting to show you the way.

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. 22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.–Ephesians 1:19-23 (NLT)
As God continues to reveal His plan on His own timetable, we see the part that Jesus has played and is playing still. It was always the plan the Jesus would be the Lord of Lords with power and authority over everyone and everything. God has done this for the benefit of the Church. The Church is to carry on God’s work from the time of the Ascension until Jesus returns. The Church is the body of Christ. Christ is the Head of the Church and without Him, the Church has no power or authority. His shed blood is the lifeblood of His Church and His Holy Spirit is the one that leads us into all truth. We are nothing without Him, but because He abides in us, we have access to the same power that raised Jesus from the tomb. To God be the glory, power, and honor for now and forevermore!!
