13 God has rescued us from the power of darkness and has brought us into the kingdom of his Son, whom he loves. 14 His Son paid the price to free us, which means that our sins are forgiven. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 He created all things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible. Whether they are kings or lords, rulers or powers—everything has been created through him and for him.–Col 1:13-16 (GW)
We were born with a sinful nature and born into a sinful world. But God, because of His omnipotence, omniscience, and His great love already had a plan in place to rescue us. The plan called for His Son, Jesus, to be born sinless, live a perfect life, and die a horrible death on a cross to redeem and reconcile us to Himself. When we accept this plan, our sins are forgiven and we are placed in right standing with God. Jesus was resurrected from the grave as the firstborn of all creation to live eternally. Everything was created through Him and for Him. Without Him, nothing exists or can exist. He raises up leaders and kings and He brings down those leaders and kings for His own purpose. We are created to glorify God and to one day be raised in His image, changed from mortals to immortals, from corruption to incorruption, to worship and praise Him throughout eternity.

You know, there are so many ways that a person may knew if a speaker is a knowledeable of the word of God or not. You may knew them by the way they add something to a person or entity or especially to a God, like “Omniscience, and Omnipotence”. These words are a product of people who are ignoramus, or people who desire to be a teachers of the law, but sad to say, understanding neither what they say nor whereof they affirm.
These are the truth : 1) God the Father is NOT AN OMNIPOTENCE, meaning He CANNOT DO whatever He wants. there is a limitation of His power. And that is, HE CANNOT LIE. 2) God the Father is NOT OMNISCIENCE, meaning He DOESN’T KNOW EVERYTHING. And that is, He doesn’t know what you will chose before it reach your heart, because we were given a FREEWILL. But when it reached your heart, that is the only time HE will know. And another thing, if someone says that God is omnipresence, kindly gently tap him in the head with the bible. For God the Father is always in the heaven, and not everywhere. Not in your toilet, nor in the drainage systems, nor in a garbage bin, and so on.
And about your topic :
re: “…..redeem and reconcile US to Himself”
Question: Who are the “US” you are talking to ?
I don’t know why you include yourself to the already Christians in Colossians, when the truth is, up to this point in time you are yet a Christians. I don’t know to what kind of groups you belong to; maybe you belong to a group who PRETEND they are Christians, or to a group WHO THINK they are already Christians, or to a group who WERE DECEIVED TO BELIEVED they are already a Christian.
Do you really think you are already saved by just accepting that plan? Is it just that simple ? Do you think that all people are covered by the sacrificed of Jesus Christ ?
FYI: The bible can be understood only by those to whom was intended into.

Your main concern seems to be that I have added words to describe God. Let us see what the Bible has to say.
1. Omnipotent: You might want to read Revelation 19:6 (KJV) “6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God OMNIPOTENT reigneth.” (emphasis mine)
The word translated as omnipotent is the Greek word “pantokrator”. It means “all ruling” or as we see it translated in most places “Almighty”.
Certainly, “God cannot lie” (Titus 1:2) and He “cannot deny Himself” (2 Timothy 2:13). God is called “Almighty” over 60 times in the Bible. So, it seems that His power is limited only to the extent that He limits Himself by His nature.
2.Omnipresent: While this word is not mentioned in the Bible directly, it is implied in several scriptures. But first, let me ask you a question? Where would you go to hide from the presence of God? Jonah couldn’t find a place and I don’t believe that non-believers will be able to find a place either. King David asks and answers this question in Psalm 139: 7-12 (KJV)
“7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.”
3. Omniscient: This word is not mentioned directly in the Bible, but, again, there are enough passages of Scripture to support it being used to describe God. You could use Psalm 139:12 (above) as well as Psalm 44:21 (KJV) “21 Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.” Then, there is Hebrews 4:2,13 (KJV) “12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”
So, if all things are naked and open to His eyes, what does that tell us?
As for your question about my KNOWING that I am a Christian. If I believe the Word of God is completely true and without error and I do, then it becomes easy to know that I am a Christian. God made His plan of salvation so simple that a child could understand it. You can read the 3rd chapter of John’s Gospel. It says over and over, believe on Jesus and have eternal life. When you believe that is true, you are a Christian and you are not a Christian if you don’t. Salvation is simple and free, living a Holy life is complicated and will cost you everything.
As for your FYI: The bible can be understood only by those to whom was intended into. In the sense that God intended for everyone to understand it, that is true. In the sense that not all people CAN understand it, it is false. God treats everyone equally, so each of us has the same opportunity to study and understand God’s Word. He sent His Holy Spirit to “guide us into all truth”. John 16:13 (KJV) “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” So, everyone that believes has God’s Holy Spirit living within them and they have access to His wisdom and understanding. The Bible is the only book written that has an Author with the ability to speak to everyone that reads it. He is waiting on each of us to ask Him to do that.
If you have doubts about your Christianity, remember this: doubts and fears are sent by the devil to cause us to be ineffective in spreading God’s Word. Condemnation comes from satan, conviction comes from God through His Holy Spirit. If you are feeling convicted of being a sinner, then ask God to forgive you, ACCEPT that forgiveness and praise the Lord forever.
The only “group” I belong to is “Christian”. I am non-denominational.
