The Greatest of These Is Love

God is waiting to show you the way.

God is waiting to show you the way.

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. 5 Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. 6 Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth. 7 Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures.
13 So these three things continue forever: faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor. 13:4-7, 13 (NCV)

Today is the day the world celebrates love. Unfortunately, the emphasis is on showing our love by worldly standards. We give candy kisses, paper hearts and material things. These things are temporary and soon fade away. What if we showed our love for others by telling them about the first and greatest lover? What if, instead of these temporary things, we shared with them the picture of eternal love? What if, instead of paper hearts, we sent Crosses? The Cross represents the greatest act of love the world has ever witnessed. The Cross is the picture of perfect, eternal love.
We don’t “fall in” and “fall out” of love, that is just physical attraction. True love does not consist of gooey, emotional stuff. It is a decision followed by actions that show your words are true.
