God is waiting to show you the way.
Even though we verbalize the truth that Jesus was all man, do we really understand what that means? Jesus was as human as you and I are. He could do nothing in and of Himself. He had the Father’s authority to do what He saw the Father doing. So do we. We have access to the same power that Jesus had access to. Then why was Jesus more effective in His ministry than we are today? Jesus was the PERFECT man, we are not perfect. That imperfection keeps us from seeing and knowing God completely. Jesus said that the Father shows Him everything He does. But Jesus also tells us that there is at least one thing that only the Father knows and that is the end of time. So, Jesus was perfect but not omniscient. We are neither. But Jesus tell us in John 14:12 that “we will do greater things than these”. How could we do “greater” things than the miracles that Jesus did even raising the dead after 4 days? Surely the “greater” is quantitative, not qualitative.

Morning Meds (Take 1 each Morning with all the Prayer You Need) 
We are not like Jesus. Jesus was fully God and Fully Man. While He chose to limit some of His attributes and certain times that does not make him any less all knowing or all powerful. We must be careful here drawing certain conclusions. If we deny that Jesus was all knowing the He is no longer God.
The greater things he was speaking about was to His apostles and included the gifts given to them for the foundation of the church. I would even argue that if you wanted to apply that text to us, It would be in the announcement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ who Takes away sin. It is a miracle each time the Holy Spirit in harmony with the preached word, brings to life those dead in trespasses and sins, giving them faith and granting them repentance. These are indeed greater things for they are of eternal consequence.

I used as a reference Matt 24 where Jesus made this statement:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. 36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. While on earth Jesus limited Himself to human attributes otherwise how could He have said that we can do these things as well and even greater. We have access to the same power through Jesus Christ. This is not an implication that we somehow become “little Jesuses” and it is not to make Jesus less than Who He was and is.
i agree that salvation is a great miracle, but I would not limit what Jesus said to just that event. There never was a “day” of miracles. There is, however, a God of miracles who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That same God has chosen to use us to fulfill His plan and His purpose which I believe requires us to follow the example Jesus set for us. And the Father would not ask us to do something without giving us everything we need to perform the action. In my opinion, that means more than just
Salvation, it means everything we need, the knowledge, the boldness, and the power.

I heard a sermon at a revival about this very subject. I agree with what the word says. (what Wally said.) Jesus was a man. He was so connected to the Father that He did not sin. There was nothing (sin) blocking him from the Father therefore he was in right relationship with him; the kind of relationship that we are intended to have. (Adam and Eve example) Jesus is our example of what life and ministry would be like being separated from sin and fully connected to the power of God. We have that connection through the Holy Spirit, just like Jesus had. But Jesus was a man. He was flesh. His abilities were limited to ours. The only difference was is that he had full on connection to God who has the power therefore enabling him to be perfect. He was not given his own power until he obeyed God and submitted himself to the cross and rose again three days later. It was Gods power that rose him from the dead,not his own. Because of his obedience he now sits at the right hand of the father and God gave him power of his own.
